ROBLES PARK VILLAGE COMMUNITY GARDEN FENCE 

1/21/17 - Robles Park Village strive to live a healthier life by enhancing their community garden. Home Depot and ABC Pizza joined to sponsor the event that gave Robles Park Youth the opportunity to take pride in building their own vegetable garden. Headed by Tampa Heights Community Gardener, Kitty Wallace, construction of the community garden and fence was in full swing.

1/14/17 - USF Pre-Med Stampede of Service Students Volunteer to Serve the Community by Administering Health Surveys.

BUTTERFLY EFFECT OF GOLF GALA

1/7/17 - Youth Attend Gala Recognizing the Butterfly Effect and Lessons of Golf. Youth Honor Speaker and Community Organizer, Lena Young Green (center), as She Spoke on Behalf of Community Service And Activism at the ButterFly Effect of Golf Gala. 

On December 29th, 2016 , University of Florida football team arrived in Tampa, Florida in late December to prepare to battle with the University of Iowa Hawkeyes. Both teams were invited to compete in the Outback Bowl set to be played in Raymond James Stadium on January 2, 2017. In preparation for the bowl competition the Florida Gators Football team and staff invited LIFT Health Youth from nearby Robles Park Village to view and participate in practice preparation held at Jesuit High School in Tampa.

FARM ESSENTIALS PART 2

11/22/16 - In our second installment of Farm Essentials With Dr. Butler; For the Thanksgiving Holiday, our second group of youth participated in a more in depth hands on experience of farming at the Butler Family Farm in Micanopy, Florida. 

Our youth have learned to take pride in their community. At least 2 days a week neighborhood youth makes an effort to clean litter and trash accumulated in the area of Robles Park. 

LIFT Health Sponsors - Diabetes Dialogue Session II

11/15/16 - We want to thank all the attendees of yesterday's Session II - Diabetes Dialogue! 

We thank all the Community Organizations, Doctors, Researchers, Professionals, Practitioners who stays energetically consistent with our focus. We have a growing issue in diabetes and need all hands on deck!

In July 2016, he extended an open invitation for LIFT Health youth to experience a day in the life of a cattle farmer. Alvin shared the story of how his great, great grandfather was freed from slavery in 1863 shortly before the end of the Civil War. The great grandfather remained in the local area and purchased land (owned for 4 generations) adjacent to the property later purchased by his grandfather. 

The Arthur Green Jr. Foundation hosted A Celebration to the Life of Arthur Green Jr. ~ An Evening of Diabetic Awareness!  WFLA News Anchor Rod Carter was the Master of Ceromony and Rep. Edwin Narain who was pivotal in getting the Arthur Green Jr. Act (House Bill 201) passed into law was our Guest Speaker. Our honorary Keynote Speaker was Erin Smith Aebel, Esquire,  Community Leadership Chair of American Diabetes Assoc., Community coordinator, Lena Young Green was in attendance, as well as Educators Owen Young and Dr. Kurt Young.
